Based in Sydney Australia, Pacific Brass was formed in the year 2000.
The Band draws together some of the finest professional and amateur brass players in New South Wales.
Pacific Brass is a volunteer group supporting the community through benefit concerts.
As guest band of the Melbourne International Festival of Brass in 2004, Pacific Brass shared the stage with some of the world’s finest brass players such as Roger Webster and Oystein Baadsvik.
In 2002 Pacific Brass performed at the Special Olympics Gala concert and also toured to the ACT in 2003. The band has appeared for the past four years at the annual Hills District Schools Symposium Concert.
The membership of Pacific Brass consists of a number of past and present National and State Solo Champions. Most of the members play in other groups such as community and services bands.
One of the aims of Pacific Brass is to promote banding within the community. Pacific Brass gives the opportunity to share the joy of music making and encourage the musicians of the future.
